Order of Wedding Toasts

The first toast is made by the best man to the bride and groom.

The groom rises to respond thanking the best man, affirming the first toast, then toasts the bride. The groom thanks the bride's parents and the groom's parents. The groom closes with a toast to the bridesmaids.

The best man rises to respond by affirming the toast to the bridesmaids and then toasts the groomsmen and ushers.

The groom’s father rises to affirm the toasts to the wedding party, toasts the bride and groom, the bride's parents, and closes with a toast to the mother of the groom.

The bride’s father rises to affirm the toast to the bride and groom, toasts the groom's parents, then the bride’s mother. The bride's father closes by thanking the wedding guests and announcing commencement of the wedding festivities.
